Thattekad, on the banks of the River Periyar is home to nearly 350 species of birds. It is a dense monsoon forest. Located near Cochin.

Keoladeo National Park
It is one of the most famous bird sanctuaries of India. This park derives its name from the Shiva Temple in the heart of the sanctuary. Formerly known as the Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary and was brought into the light by the famous ornithologist Mr. Salim Ali.

Kumarakom Bird Sanctuaries
Kumarakoam Bird Sanctuary is famous across the world for its varied avian population. The migratory siberian cranes add to the attraction of the park.

Nalsarovar Bird Sanctuary
